OUR VALUES

Galatians 5:22-23

«But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.»

1). We love God and our neighbor with all our strength and heart.

«“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets”» (Matthew 22:36-40).

2). We face our trials with Joy, knowing that the joy of the Lord is our strength.

«“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials…”» (James 1:2).

3). We live in Peace and not in fear because perfect love casts out fear.

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid”» (John 14:27).

4). We patiently endure each other in order to maintain the unity of the Spirit.

«“…with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace”» (Ephesians 4:2-3).

5). We practice Kindness as an act of compassion towards others, knowing that forgiveness is the greatest expression of love.

«“And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you”» (Ephesians 4:32).

6). Out of Kindness, we attend to the needs of others, especially those of the family of faith.

«“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith”» (Galatians 6:10).

7). We practice Faith in Christ because without it, we cannot approach God.

«“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him”» (Hebrews 11:6).

8). We live in Meekness so as not to fight against God.

«“Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls”» (James 1:21).

9). We practice Temperance as self-control, and in that way, also being witnesses of God.

«He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, And he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city”» (Proverbs 16:32).
